Super 8 motels has 2100 locations worldwide. 1800 locations are in the USA, 200 in Canada and 100 in China. Super 8 motels is a franchise of the Wyndham organization. We visited one of the Super 8 motels in Mesa, Arizona. Like most super 8 motels, the Mesa motel is located near a main road, and in this case, a freeway as well. But still in a very save neighborhood.

Super 8 promotes in different ways;

There is a national advertising campaign through Wyndham, but every single super 8 motel can decide on their own local advertising, meaning they can promote their super 8 motel in the area.

Price
Every super 8 motel has different prices. The managers of the motels can decide what the rates will be in their motel. Super 8 stands for good quality, for a good price.
The rates will depend on different things;

· Seasons; For example the temperatures in Phoenix are very high in the Summer. So the price for a room is not much. In the Winter the temperatures are pleasant. So the price will go up.
· Events; If there is an event in the neighborhood, the manager can decide to put the price up.
· Locations; If you have a better location where more people stay, the manager can hold to higher prices.

Staff
We did not speak to any of the staff members because they were occupied during the interview. Hower, we did have an interview with the manager of the motel. We asked him in what way the staff members contribute to the super 8 concept. He said that all the staff members are friendly to the customers. In that way the staff contributes to the super 8 concept.
